Grace Bible Church has faithfully served the Gilbert community for over 130 years, originally as a Congregational church and most recently as a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Throughout our history it has been the goal of GBC to promote the God revealed within the Scriptures, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit as the solution to the ailments of the world. We aim to accomplish this goal by holding fast to the timeless truths of Scripture and though we honor our past, we look forward to the future with great anticipation. Larry was born and grew up in Wisconsin, thus he is an avid Packer, Badger, and Brewer fan. He has been married to his wife Cheryl since 1976 and they have two grown daughters and two grandchildren. Before beginning full-time ministry in 2000, Larry spent twenty-seven years in the business world. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business/Finance from Liberty University and a Masters Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before coming to the Gilbert/Ames area in 2006, he spent six years as a pastor in Nebraska.
Larry has a passion for teaching the word of God to all generations in a relevant way that will change lives and foster a passion for Jesus Christ. In his spare time Larry enjoys reading and studying history, following sports, dreaming of cars (especially Corvettes), as well as spending time with Cheryl.
Kevin is a 2009 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.) and was recently married to his beautiful wife, Melanie. Before attending DTS, Kevin grew up in Ames, IA and graduated from Iowa State University. Kevin’s contributes to the ministry of Grace Bible Church with his passion for seeing the great truths of the Bible come alive within the congregation, as well as awakening those outside of the church to the satisfaction that can be found in the God revealed in the Bible. In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with Melanie, being outdoors, and doing various electronic projects in addition to reading, photography, and occasionally dabbling with the bass guitar.
Amanda Jennings
Worship Director
Amanda is a native of Gilbert, graduating from Gilbert High School in 2002. She received a BA in music from Iowa State University in 2006 and currently teaches piano lessons in addition to her position as worship director at Grace Bible Church. Amanda married her high school sweetheart, Jeremy Jennings, in 2004. They reside in Gilbert with their children, Jack and Brooklyn. Amanda’s interests include music, outdoor activities, cooking (with a moderately low rate of success!), bargain hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

We believe that the Scriptures as we have them are inerrant and provide the foundation of knowing God the Father, His Holy Spirit, and His Son Jesus Christ. It is through these Scriptures that we can walk in a manner pleasing to God.

We believe that knowing and following Christ is our first priority in life. Salvation is only by grace through faith in Christ alone. At Grace Bible Church, we believe that we are changed because of God’s grace. His transforming grace allows us to walk with Him and others through the love of Christ.
Authentic Relationships
Everything we do at Grace Bible Church ultimately flows out of our relationships with one another. It is our desire to model, encourage, and facilitate healthy and authentic relationships within the marriages and families in our community as well as amongst our coworkers and neighbors. We aim to accomplish this task through our small groups and other ministry teams.
Making Christ Known
At Grace Bible church we exist to proclaim the message of Christ’s love and sacrifice to every corner of our community and our world. It is our mission to do this through service both in the local community and in the world at large as well as by the giving of our resources sacrificially.
Simplicity
Our passion for the world fuels our commitment to be a church that embraces a lifestyle and culture of simplicity. We will not use the resources of God’s people for extravagant or trivial displays of materialism, but instead we will utilize our resources solely for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
